What is the main difference?
Both ‘C’ Class and ‘B’ Class are Government approved filing cabinets that are endorsed by the Security Construction and Equipment Committee and both have Class ratings that meet Federal Government standards.
The major difference between the C & B Class containers, apart from specifications, is the locking mechanism installed on the ‘B’ or ‘C’ Class security containers or filing cabinets.
‘C’ Class containers have an approved high security restricted key mechanism such as a Bi- Lock Security Key&Lock, EVVA 3KS Plus Security Key&Lock, and ABLOY PROTEC Security Key&Lock.
The ‘B’ Class Security Container filing cabinet must have an approved lock mechanism such as a Sargent & Greenleaf (S&G) 2740b electromagnetic lock or alternatively a high security DormaKaba X10 high security electronic lock.
